unit 10


In unit 3 I rated myself a 6 in psychological wellness, 6 in physical wellness, and 6 in spiritual wellness.  Due to some personal and family issues I would say that I have slipped a bit.  I would score myself a 5 in each area.  Mainly because of lack of time to spend on each of them would I say that I have slipped.  I am back on track now and with the break from school I would say that I’m going to start advancing.  My goals are still there and I am going to work toward them now that some of the personal and family situations have become less.  Also with the week off of school I want to get to them and start.  Starting is the more difficult part, however, I just have to do it.



Throughout this course I enjoyed learning about the studies that have been done on meditation and prayer.  I have done many meditation exercises with my shaman group, so working on peace within and meditation is something that I try to do.  With school I have lacked in this area but it is a part of my life.  Rewarding is making it through this class and learning all of the studies, the difficult part was listening to the guy speak on the meditations and sometimes getting the work done.  I will be able to pass along the information of the studies and introduce some new meditations to people.  I did not really like these over others I have done but another person might like them, so they are just something to have in my bag of healing.

  1. I too found some of the meditations benificial and other less so for myself. I liked them all for one reason or another. And you are right it is great to have these meditations for others.

    I am sorry to hear that you had trouble with your family and that it hurt you so. That is never fun. I am glad to hear that you meditate on a daily basis with a group. I do not have a group to meditate with unless you count my children. :)

  2. Angie it sounds like you have got everything going in your favor. I am jealous I dont have a group to meditate with just the tapes and I thought it was pretty cool a group must be great. Good luck from hear but atleast you finished the course and like you said its information we can draw on in the future.

    Sorry to hear that you have had some personal family issues, which has affected your slip in your ratings. I know it can be tough because I went through the loss of my mom last year and it would have done the same for me. I am glad to hear you are back on track now with the break. On my break, I plan on doing the same as you in between classes because I will have the time. I would suggest that you stick to your goals. If you have something that comes up, then you can start back up where you left off. I have learned so much about meditation and prayer from the class that I never knew before taking it. It sounds like your shaman group is very helpful and something I may look into knowing more about. Great post this week and good luck in your future endeavors!

    I think that it is wonderful that you have a group to meditate with. You are well on your way to the goals you have set for your self. Sometimes the school part is an issue at some point or another for just about everyone but there is an end...eventually!

  5. Life is all about falling down and getting back up, and dusting yourself off and continuing to move forward. There will be things in life that will push us off course, but as long as they are only temporary setbacks, we will prevail.

  7. I have an internal alchemy class that I take every other friday. We have done many meditations as well. Meditation is so helpful. Blessings and healing vibes on your journey.
